There is a big difference between being an onlooker of a play and being cast with a part in the performance. For some time now Jesus' twelve friends have watched and witnessed what Jesus was doing. Now Jesus puts them on center stage. What was their role? What did Jesus ask them to do? Two-thousands years later, what is Matthew's gospel saying to the onlookers in the 21st century?
This Sunday at our monthly worship we continue our series on The Life of Jesus. We'll worship is song, partake of the Lord's table, and hear a sermon on discipleship from Matthew's gospel, chapter 10.
In the following weeks in our Meeting House groups we'll investigate other events in Jesus' life and discuss their significance in the first century and what that means for us today.
More information on themes and topics are to follow. See you at 9:30am.
Look forward to seeing you there!
